Positive, Negative, Plane and Volume

Gesture Drawings
More fun with these <3

Negative/Positive Space
My fan, beach bucket with pillows, and my circular chair.

Volume
I actually had fun with this one. My smudge stick was put to great use with this one!

Contour and Gesture Drawings

 Continuous Line Drawing
I had fun with this one. I used pen so I knew I couldn't go back and fix anything!

 Blind Contour
This is of my fan. I always hated blind contours. Makes me look like I'm 5 again, haha!

 Organizational Line
This one was a little confusing for me, but I did my best.

Gesture
I drew when mom was painting. I have done gesture drawing before and they are my favorite. I was a nude model once and it was great doing the gesture drawing poses.

Still Life Objects

I didn't have any paint so I tried to find all I could that was white.

Items:
- Rectangular (Ring box)
- Cube (Rubix cube covered in white paper)
- Cylinder (White candle)
- Sphere (Ping Pong ball)
- Cone (Rolled up white paper)

Spatial Relationships

.
Illusionistic Space
I've always loved this piece because as simple as it is, it's so complex as well.

.
Flat Space
This are does have some depth to it, but not enough to make it 3D.

.
Ambiguous space
Everything but the neck pieces are flat, while the neck pieces are 3D.

Self-Portrait

As an illustrator, I always draw humans. And myself quite often. I didn't see anything about saying it needed to be realistic so I just went with this. Scanner still doesn't work so I have use my phone. Sorry!

Unified Field Drawings

(I usually have a scanner, but my computer
decided to be a jerk and uninstall my printer driver.
Thanks computer! Love you too!)

#1 Mechanical Pencil
Using my usual mechanical pencil. I personally like mechanical pencils because they DON'T NEED TO BE SHARPENED. It's such a great feeling to just click the pencil to get more lead.  And I also love how fine and thin the lines are.

#2 Large Sharpie
Rummaging through my materials, I found a large sharpie pen. As you can tell, it's been used quite a lot. I like inking pens better when I'm illustrating and inking line art, but sharpies are great to use when you need to fill in a large area and you don't want to use all your ink in your inking pens.

#3 Blue Ball-Point Pen
Ball-point pens are one of my favorite materials to work with. Especially with sketching. You can go dark and light very easily. It also glides across the paper. And that's fantastic!
